These are crafted in a similar fashion to the cutting boards, with additional attention to the carefully sculpted handles, and rim to hold items from sliding off.  These are finished in a two-part process.  First, penetrating oil is applied to bring out the rich beauty of the wood.  Then, several coats of a durable poly topcoat are applied and hand sanded to achieve the same silky feeling as the cutting boards.  Like all of Vern's products, these are carefully hand crafted in Minnesota, and make a wonderful wedding gift.
